IMPACT COMPASS MODEL
Measurements related to satisfaction, experience, evaluation, visitor profiles, and other aspects are invaluable for the effective operation of a swimming pool. However, demonstrating a pool’s true significance extends beyond these metrics.
Public swimming pools serve an important societal role, fostering the development and well-being of both their visitors and the wider community. This study adapts a Danish-British model, originally designed for the cultural sector, to assess the impact of swimming pools on their users.

NET PROMOTER SCORE
We ask swimming pool visitors whether they would recommend the pool to family, friends, or colleagues. They can rate this on a scale from 0 (definitely would not recommend) to 10 (highly recommend).
This type of question is commonly used in research to calculate the “Net Promoter Score” (NPS), a method for measuring loyalty. Based on their responses, participants are categorized into:
-
Promoters: Enthusiasts who are eager to encourage others to visit the pool.
-
Passives: Neutral respondents.
-
Detractors: Critics who would not recommend the pool to friends or family.
